Slow Cooked Port Pairs

10 minutes prep

4 hours ready to eat

Slow Cooker

4 ripe pairs

225ml (0.5 pint) port

1 tsp finely chopped crystallised ginger

2 tsp lemon juice

•  Whipped cream to serve.

Peel core and quarter pears and place in slow

   cooker

Add all other ingredients & cook on low for 4 hours

Serve either hot or cold with whipped cream on top

Use cheap cooking port - available from the bottle shop


Try whipped cream without adding sugar. You really don't need it
