Easy Pulled Pork


Step 1

•  2 kg pork shoulder roast

•  1 onion peeled and diced large


Step 2 - spice rub

•  3 tbs paprika

•  2 tbs salt

•  1 tsp chilli powder

•  1 tsp garlic powder

•  1/2 tsp dried thyme

•  1/2 cup honey

•  3 tbs olive oil


Step 3

•  1/2 cup barbecue sauce









15 minutes prep

7.25 hours ready to eat

Slow Cooker

•  Place onion in bottom of slow cooker and pork on

   top

•  Combine spice rub mixture and rub all over pork

• Cook in slow cooker for 7 hours on low

•  Pour liquid into a sauce pan, add barbecue sauce

   and simmer for 10 minutes until sauce reduces.

•  while sauce is reducing separate pork with two forks

•   Pour sauce into pulled pork and combine well.

Great for tacos or sliders.  Freeze in small portions in the freezer
