Busy Mixing Tips

•  2 red onions

•  brine (1 cup water to 1tbs salt - not iodized

   table salt)

•  Glass jar or Mason Jar

•  Weight

•  Peel and slice onions

•  Pack into jar pour in bring to cover liquid

•  Weigh down with a weight if necessary and place on


•  Leave jar on bench at room temperature for 5-7 days

•  Store in the fridge in air tight container

5 minutes prep

7 days ready to eat

If you don't have specific fermenting weights use any nonporous object that will fit in your jar.  I have used ceramic sauce bowls.  If you have Pickle Pipes and are using a mason jar you can also use this instead of the lid.  Added bonus is they come with weights
